The Department of Biology offers the following degree programs:

• The Undergraduate Major (BS) is intended for students wishing to study biology, enter medical school, or other graduate program in sciences.

• The Undergraduate Minor is intended for students who have an interest in biology, and would like to study it with some direction.

• The Coterminal (MS/BS) program is intended for students who are current undergraduates at Stanford, with an interest in simultaneously obtaining a Masters degree in Biology.

• The PhD program is intended for students who have a Bachelor’s and/or Master's Degree.
