Title:
“Skin stem cells in silence and action”
Abstract:
My lab is interested in how stem cells make tissues during development and homeostasis, and how they repair tissues in response to injury. By unraveling the molecular mechanisms that govern normal stem cells in their silence, action and self-renewal, we have begun to understand how these processes have been hijacked in the progression to cancer. I’ll discuss our latest findings on stem cell behavior, which highlight the elaborate crosstalk between stem cells and their niches.
