Biology Seminar Series: Lloyd Trotman - "Dietary Target Therapy and Oxidative Death"

After a postdoc at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I started my lab at CSHL in January of 2007. Since 2020, I am also supervising training and education at the CSHL Cancer Center. Besides pushing the boundaries of faithful models of human prostate cancer, I would say that the visualization of new biology has always played a big part in my approach. This led us to develop single cell resolution whole organ 3D imaging for cancer biology. Most recently, we explored if dietary oxidants could suppress prostate cancer. This helped us uncover a new cell death pathway and unexpected therapeutic opportunities besides cancer.
