Tim Coulson is Professor of Zoology and Head of the Biology Department at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on how, why and when altering apex predator numbers ecologically and evolutionarily impacts ecosystems. He is also a populariser of science. His book "The Science of Why We Exist: A history of the universe from the Big Bang to consciousness was published in July this year.
