Dr. Cecilia Lo's research is focused on elucidating the genetic causes and developmental mechanisms of human congenital heart disease (CHD). She is the founding chair of the of the Department of Developmental Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Lo was a Lab Chief and Center Director at NIH, and a full Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
