Rob Salguero-Gomez, "The biogeography of life history strategies"

March 11, 2019 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Clark Center Auditorium S001

Free and open to the public.

Roberto Salguero-Gómez, Ph.D., Associate Professor, University of Oxford, The University of Queensland, and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research.  Rob is a population ecologist and macroecologist. His research focuses on (i) the mechanisms that drive the diversity of life history strategies in animals and plants, (ii) the evolution of (and escape from) senescence across the tree of life, and (iii) the predictive ability of functional trait approaches for population dynamics. He is the leader of the two most taxonomically comprehensive open-access demographic databases: COMPADRE & COMADRE (
