Roberto Mayor is Professor of Cell and Developmental Neurobiology in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at University College London, UK. He got his PhD from the University of Chile working on mouse development. After a postdoctoral training at the National Institute for Medical Research (London, UK), he set up his own laboratory in Chile. In 2004, he moved to University College London where he began work on migration of neural crest cells. He is currently interested on the interplay between chemical signals with physical forces during in vivo collective cell migration, using an interdisciplinary approach.
