Cell Biophysics Day at Hopkins Marine Station
Cell biophysics day is a day of informal talks and brainstorming about open questions in cell and developmental biology, and how to tackle them using biophysics approaches. Brought together groups working on disparate model systems - from bacteria to choanoflagellates, eukaryotic parasites, flies, sea stars and human cells – asking how cells behave within an embryo, a collective or as single isolated entities in the vastity of the ocean. All in the beautiful setting of the Hopkins Marine Station.
There were well over 50 people who attended in total. Some speakers who presented included Shannon Yan, Jonas Cremer, Lucy O’Brien, Jan Skotheim, Manu Prakash, Florentine Rutaganira, Alex Dunn and Vanessa Barone.
