Lauren O'Connell awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER grant

Assistant Professor Lauren O'Connell has been awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER grant for her project, “From ecology to neurobiology: spatial cognition in rainforest frogs".  Part of this grant involves working with Cañada College to provide research opportunities for students in one of our local community colleges, a mission that O'Connell is passionate about. The National Science Foundation CAREER awards are National Science Foundation awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through research, education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.
