Professor Mary Beth Mudgett has been named the new Senior Associate Dean for Educational Initiatives in the School of Humanities and Sciences. This is a new position which will focus on introductory teaching in departments and programs; capstone experiences and honors; new initiatives in teaching (including the development of courses that cut across the school of H and S and engineering).
Professor Mudgett is a Bass Fellow in Undergraduate Education and has won a Dean’s Award for Distinguished Teaching, a Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Prize, and an award for diversity from the School of Medicine.
