Two Biology Faculty receive National Academy of Sciences awards

Congratulations to two of our esteemed National Academy of Sciences members, who are among 18 who received awards from the academy.

Liqun Luo will receive the Pradel Research Award for pioneering research into neural circuits of invertebrates and vertebrates.  The award is presented with a $50,000 research award to support neuroscience research.

Sharon R. Long will receive the Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology for molecular biology insights that explain how to make agriculture more sustainable. The award is presented with a $20,000 prize.
