BioBridge Advising

BioBridge Logo

BioBridge peer advising is located in the Biology Garage - a student lounge space in Gilbert 119.

What is BioBridge?

BioBridge is an undergraduate peer advising group and informational resource for the Department of Biology. BioBridge advisors serve as a link to several aspects of the biology major:

  • Coordinating outreach programs for current and prospective biology majors
  • Organizing info sessions and panels on topics related to research, grants, the major, employment, and other post-graduate opportunities
  • Offering social events where Biology majors and prospective majors can get to know each other
  • Answering questions about major requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Promoting interaction between Biology faculty and undergrad students

If you have questions about how to declare the major, find a research position, which courses to take, or where to study away from campus while still graduating in 4 years, come by the BioBridge office hours.

Advising Drop-Ins

Advising drop-ins are held during weeks 2-9 of the Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters. We will be offering in-person and Zoom drop-ins each quarter. BioBridge Peer Advisor's Zoom link is in the weekly Biology newsletter.

Eu Jin Jung (he/him) is a senior from Seoul studying biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. He enjoys all things brain, whether it be encouraging his friends to go on dopamine fasts, or studying how neuronal activity promotes cancer proliferation in the Monje lab. He cooks steaks with his fellow counselors from Camp Kaleidoscope (where his camp-name is Ribeye) and is a CDA for the frosh introsem “Chemistry in the Kitchen”. He is a former sergeant of the Korean Army, where he worked in intel and is the president of the International Draftee Collective at Stanford.
