Remembering Paul Levine

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Levine on January 25 at his home in Massachusetts. He was 95 years old. Dr. Levine was Research Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Hopkins Marine Station from 1992-1997, and he continued research as Emeritus Professor through 2004. 

His research at Hopkins included studies of bacterial diseases in salmon, and of the symbiosis between sea anemones and algae, with a focus on identifying the genes and gene products involved in initiating, maintaining and causing this symbiosis to work
